Here is just a short film put together on the day we shot at the beach, and letting you know how the day was going :) It also shows me taking some shots before we started the filming of Sarah and Vickee which we then went on to use in our narrative, and opening credits! We finished editing sound today and adding the last final touches before the deadline, I think I can speak for all of us when I say we're all very proud :D and had such a great time making this thriller opening. finally, we put together the evaluative commentary (in a filmed interview form) today so that is all now completed :) xxxx
Here's the video, sorry the quality is a bit bad though!

Nearly, nearly there...
Helloo,
We have managed to finish our editing now and it's looking good, we just need to add the final touch which is the music. Garageband proved to be pretty difficult but we managed to get a song that sounds alot meatier (if thats a word) than what we had played around with on Garageband from a free download website. Tonight we shot our evaluation which we will be using as an extra on our final dvd and that all went well so that's one thing ticked off the list. Tomorrow is D-day (eek) so we need to really use our time in our double lesson to make it as perfect as we can and get the sound really sorted. Thats all for now I think, we will update after we have finished the final product :):):):) xxxxxxx

Nearly there!!!!!
we are near to finishing our thriller opening, we have put all our footage together now and have added in the titles, the photo idea works really well. But now we have to think of a name that goes with the storyline and is good, we have been thinking of having english words translated into another language, but we can't decide what to call it, it's a little harder than we first thought it would be. We have also got to create some music, we have had a little go on garage band but again creating the right music isn't that easy!!! We have to decide on how to do our evaluation aswell we haven't really thought about that but as our deadline is approaching fast we are hoping to sort it out very soon!!! so yeah basically we are on track and can't wait to see our finished project!!!!!

our progress
Right we have done more editing, still trying to create tension. We have now got all of our footage as we filmed the last few bits last night so now we can crack with with making the narrative more clear and have the typical conventions of a thriller opening!!! We have a had a few changes with the storyline as we have now added the missing poster, this will make our audience ask questions and be a little confused which is what we want, just don't want them totally confused!!!! We have had a bit of trouble on trying to decide how we should create our titles as we want people to see them but not make them the main focus and how we can link the titles into the storyline without them just looking random and out of place, we quite liked the idea of having a poster on the wall in the bedroom of a film but having our titles at the bottom, but we didn't think that would really work, but we have decided to use photographs in our title sequence, as we will show the photographs and have them turning over to show the back of them where we will have the titles written or being written on the back, this will also link in with the storyline and create a good effect!!
So now we have got all of the footage we will edit it together and will be a step closer to our finished project!!!!!

Flashbacks and Our Progress (:
Hello all :)
We are blogging today, because we would like to post about the flashback ideas we have had.
Firstly we sensed some problems with the edited footage that we already had, because it didnt build enough tension. To solve this problem we have decided to do a range of things:
> Split some of the longer flashbacks, so that they are more jumpy and memory like. This scattered effect, immediately made a difference, which we were very pleased with.
> We have decided to add in some quick montage shots of a missing poster, this is hopefully going to tie together the whole opening, so that it is made more understandable.
Thats all for now folks, Hannah + Jess :)
